Tiësto feat. Disco Fries – iTrance

Published on October 21st, 2013

After receiving the DJ Mag “Top 100 DJ Legend Award”, Tiesto reached out to his fans by releasing this amazing track with the Disco Fries as a thank you for all of their support. “I am humbled and so honored to receive the inaugural DJ Mag”Top 100 Djs Legend Award.” I am extremely grateful for all of my fans and their continued support over the years. As a thank you, I want to share a brand new track called “iTrance” with you”.

The collaboration takes us back to an earlier Tiesto sound that I know many of his fans have been yearning for. The track channels his melodic trance roots while also incorporating some new age progressive synths. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot of this track over the next few months and I am certainly not mad about it. Enjoy!

Camp Bisco 2013 Preview

Published on March 18th, 2013

Dates: July 11th – 13th 2013
Location: Just outside of Albany, NY. (Indian Lookout Country Club – Mariaville, NY)
Price: $210

This year, Camp Bisco has an eclectic lineup consisting of acts like STS9, Wolfgang Gartner, UZ, Dan Deacon, Toro y Moi, and Umphrey’s McGee. It’s clear to see that this festival attracts an assortment of music lovers, and both the jammers to the wobblers (WOB-WOB-WOB) are expected to go home more than satisfied. Hopes are high after last year’s insane performances by BassnectarDada Life, Atmosphere, Bonobo, and Big Gigantic. Will Camp Bisco live up to the name they have established in their 12 years of existence? Of course they will. Chances are, they will go bigger and harder than ever before, and you will probably leave without one pair of matching shoes.

There’s more than music at Camp Bisco though. The community is full of people who are PROUD to say that they have been going to bisco for the past some-odd years. This says a lot about a festival goer. Sincere there are so many options for festivals out there, each with different themes and attractions, for someone to choose Camp Bisco year after year just tells you that it has a value that is not, and can not be diminished by the economy, competition, or weather. Also, you can expect to see beautiful art installations, goods for sale, and label tents.

This festival is sure to blow your face off, ans I assure you, the party does not stop when the music does. Want to volunteer? Follow this link. See you there!

Camp Bisco is held July 11th – 13th 2013 Indian Lookout Country Club – Mariaville, NY.

Towson University Harlem Shake

Published on February 24th, 2013

The Towson University Harlem Shake was a huge success. Within one week Towson`s own Dominic Pedri planned this huge event to be ran on the middle of campus. He went to the head of Towson Police Dept. for permission and they were a little skeptical. After all we were able to run the event and it turned out to be huge with film support from the EMF dept. at Towson such as Glory Kim and Christian Groeschel who did a great job putting this video together. Ryan Greenberg the owner MusicOverSleep.com made an appearance as a DJ/Tele Tubby. Hope everyone Enjoys

Tomorrowland Sells Out in One Second

Published on February 19th, 2013

If you ask someone, what is one festival in the world you’d like to go to one time, you’d find out that most people’s answers would be that of Tomorrowland. Unfortunate to most though, Tomorrowland this year sold out in an astonishing one second! Many people were put in a queue which allowed them to purchase the ticket up to a couple hours later.

Although Tomorrowland is sold out, we’ve been told that a big announcement is coming to us on February 18! (Updates Coming Soon)

Hudson Mohawke & G.O.O.D. Music: Kanye West Snaps Up Buzzy Producer

Published on February 18th, 2013

Samsung Galaxy Note II New York Launch Event

Hudson Mohawke is among the buzziest producers in the world, but he’s yet to impact beyond the hippest of hip-hop and electronic dance music blogs. That’s about to change, thanks to a fresh new contract from Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label.

West’s reported signing of the Scottish producer to the “Getting Out Our Dreams” family is a savvy move (he’s actually signed to Very G.O.O.D. Beats, the production imprint on the label). HudMo, as he’s affectionately referred to, is half of TNGHT, a duo he founded with equally sought-after beatmaker Lunice. The 26-year-old also worked on “Cruel Summer,” helping produce the genre-shifting “Mercy,” as well as a standout ballad, “Bliss.”

This isn’t the first time West has given TNGHT a boost: The rapper appeared at the group’s Brooklyn, New York concert in November, though he mostly just stood on stage.

TNGHT is credited with breathing new life into the crossover between electronic dance music and hip-hop — two worlds that, while once wary of one another, collide more and more. Recent hybrids include A$AP Rocky’s “Wild for the Night,” a song produced by American dubstep king Skrillex. Rocky performed the song on “The Late Show” with some help from A-Trak, DJ Clark Kent and Araabmuzik — three DJs and producers who, taken together, span the continuum from old school hip-hop and turntablism (A-Trak, Kent) to dance-rap production (A-Trak) to MPC-driven live instrumentation (Araabmuzik). – ARTICLE CREDIT FROM HUFFINGTON POST

Tomorrow world?

Published on February 18th, 2013

The folks behind Tomorrowland, said to be the world’s biggest dance music festival, have quite an announcement: The party is hitting the road.

Dubbed TomorrowWorld, the first iteration of a Tomorrowland-organized event outside of Belgium will take place Sept. 27-29, 2013. The destination has yet to be revealed, but the team has rolled out a website and guessing game for fans.

The news comes at a great time for the Tomorrowland team, which sold out 180,000 tickets in “just one second,” according to press materials provided by the festival. Attendees from 214 countries will attend this year’s main event, a higher number than those who participated in the London Olympics (204 nations). A number of festivalgoers will fly in on Tomorrowland branded planes and stay at discounted hotels.

Tomorrowland was founded by Manu and Michiel Beers, Belgian brothers who describe TomorrowWorld as “more exciting than anything we ever dreamed of when we started years ago as young music lovers and entrepreneurs.”

“We see it as a big, fantastic and very unique opportunity,” they said in a statement. “It will be an enormous challenge and a big step for our young, creative and vibrant team.”

Though the location of the new festival has yet to be announced, the Beers brothers promise it will take place somewhere “that feels like a second home” that’s “similar to our fantastic terrain in Belgium.”

TomorrowWorld marks yet another step in the festival’s attempts to include — and monetize — those who are unable to buy tickets for and/or travel to Tomorrowland. Last year, the festival partnered with YouTube to launch Tomorrowland TV, which offered seven hours of live-streaming on each day of the event.

UPDATE: Industry rabble-rouser Albert Berdellans has some more TomorrowWorld developments, which are unverified at this time. (Berdellans goes by The EDM Snob and is an employee of Ultra Music. He says the below tweets are wholly unrelated to his employment at Ultra.)
